Restore, re-set and re-align with nature’s rhythms – within and all around you. Move into winter & the festive season feeling nourished & with a deeply embodied reminder of what’s essential
.

December is a perfect time to recharge and move into a natural & very welcome slowing down. At this time of year we can easily get caught up in busy-ness and become over-tired, run down or exhausted. Take time out, reconnect with nature and practices that really support you, on all levels. Return home with more perspective on what’s really important to you. Set clearer boundaries around what you want to be available for in your life to make the most of your time and energy. Feel more grounded & peaceful; ready to enjoy the gifts of winter & to move into the new year refreshed and enthusiastic!

Join me for this spacious 3 – night retreat. Blissful time just for you – for yoga, rejuvenating breathwork, group coaching, silence, contemplation/reflection, walking in nature & breathing in the refreshing sea air on the Dorset coastline. Icy sea swim and/or beach sauna for those who want it!

What people loved about the 2023 Serenity Retreat

“…the yoga, the pool, the food, the company, the frosty sparkles & red berries, the birdsong, time to myself, the peaceful rural location, the beach swim at sunset & wooodfired sauna. The days seemed spacious and relaxed even though we fitted so much in.”

“…the sense of ease and possibility. Freedom to use the pool.
The great balance between yoga, walks, coaching & own time.”

“This space wraps itself around you like a warm blanket” Serenity Retreat Guest, December 2023

Bonhays is nestled in Marshwood Vale, within beautiful rolling hills of west Dorset, close to the stunning ancient coastline with it’s dramatic cliffs, fossils, sand & pebble beaches. The centre is a sanctuary of welcome, peace and simplicity; perfect for hibernating & being nurtured. The chef sources organic, local ingredients where possible and the creates delicious & nourishing vegetarian meals.

You are spoilt for choice for how to spend your free time. There is no need to go anywhere. You might stay, rest, relax, curl up with a good book & enjoy some time in the little heated indoor pool.

A 5 minute walk into the village will lead you to the noteworthy Church of St Candida and Holy Cross, containing the only shrine in Britain to have survived the Reformation with its relics intact.

Charmouth, the closest beach, shallow and sandy, is an 10 minute drive.
Seatown (10 mins drive) and Eype (15 mins drive) beaches are stony & steeply shelving and inviting for those who like a bracing dip!
A 10 minute drive will lead you to a walk to Golden Cap, the highest point on England’s south coast, with it’s stunning views.

The historic coastal town of Lyme Regis is 15 minutes drive away and makes a delightful stop-off on your way to the retreat.

Bonhays is approximately 2 hours from Bristol & 3 hours from London.

What to expect

The retreat begins on Thursday 30th November. Arriving from 3.30pm, we will wind down with an evening yoga & breathing session & then enjoy our first meal together before settling into silence later in the evening.
Friday & Saturday will include morning yoga practices & plenty of time for walking to the beach. Over the two days, there there will be breathing practices and a heart-centred group coaching circle.
On Sunday there will be morning yoga practice, rounding off with lunch before we depart – perhaps for one more visit to the beach – and head home.

Each full day on retreat includes long morning yoga sessions followed by lunch. Afternoons are spacious, free time to spend as you wish…resting, countryside/coastal walking, settling in to a good book, a dip in the swimming pool, just being. After supper, you will be invited and supported to spend time in silence from the later evening through until the morning yoga session begins.

Immerse yourself in your yoga practice, discover your breath and your inner sanctuary, with time in beautiful surroundings to absorb, integrate and come home to your more relaxed and resourced self. For more info’ contact me.

“The retreat was a blissful container to come back to myself. It was an opportunity to reassess where I can make time for more joy and alignment in my daily life.”

“I feel energised yet calm, clearer of mind and generally joyful. My body and mind are thankful. I will carry the experience with me for a long time – until the next retreat at least!”

“It was a deeply restful and nourishing experience which built my sense of inner resource.”

“I appreciated the silence between 10pm and 10am – it worked well, despite my initial slight trepidation about it. It was actually welcome in that it required a slower, quieter pace, allowing us to drop more deeply into the ‘retreat’ aspects. I really enjoyed the morning silence especially.”

“Whether doing something or nothing at all, it’s not just the calm but the quality of the calm.”
